OKLAHOMA CITY -- A semitrailer overturned at a major Oklahoma City intersection Wednesday morning.

Crews had to close an exit ramp at Interstate 240 and Interstate 35 for about one hour after the accident.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver turned too quickly on a curve while the highway was still wet from early morning rain. Trooper Mike Swope said the driver lost control, hit a curb and rolled the 18-wheeler.

"The oil comes up on the roadway and makes it slicker," Swope said. "People need to pay more attention, get more distance between the cars they're following and slow down."

The driver was not injured.
