OKLAHOMA CITY -- Firefighters used an oxygen mask to resuscitate a cat that was caught in an Oklahoma City house fire Tuesday.
The feline suffered heavy smoke inhalation in the blaze 3837 Northwest 26th Street, said Greg Lindsay of the Oklahoma City Fire Department.
"They brought it outside and gave it oxygen to try to resuscitate it," he said. "It looks like it's doing a lot better than it was when it came out."The cat was taken to a nearby veterinarian for care, he said.Firefighters were unable to rescue two other animals in the home. The homeowners were not at the house.An electrical short is believed to be responsible for the fire, authorities said.
