SAN DIEGO -- There seems to be no limit to the height of California's gas prices.
San Diego motorists are paying an average of $2.123 a gallon for self-serve unleaded regular gasoline, topping the record set last week at $2.039.
However, San Diego news station KGTV found a gas station in El Cajon, Calif., Wednesday that is charging as much as $4.29 a gallon.
The Texaco station said it is extremely low on fuel and waiting to be re-supplied, the station reported.
The Automobile Club of Southern California reports that California drivers are paying the highest gasoline prices in the nation.
To make maters worse, industry experts predict that the gasoline price rise is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
Analysts say it could go up as much as 25 cents more, according to the station.
